Jura Z8 vs Jura Z10 – Similarities

Jura has made a number of updates, so the Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10 are quite different in some ways. We will quickly look at the features of the Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10 side by side.

Appearance

The Jura Z8 and Z10 share a similar design and style, with the primary difference being the color – the Z8 is available in stainless steel, while the Z10 can be found in either aluminum white or diamond black. So the Z10 does have more options. One thing to note is that the stainless steel and the white aluminum do look fairly similar.

In terms of size, both the Z8 and Z10 are roughly the same, so that shouldn’t be a deciding factor either. Ultimately, the choice between these two machines, in terms of aesthetics, boils down to what color best matches the design of your kitchen. Coffee Sizes

With the Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10, you can make various coffee sizes, from 1oz shots to full jugs.

The Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10 have intuitive 4.3” color touchscreens that allow you to choose settings as well as follow brewing and maintenance instructions.

Spouts

The Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10 have dual spouts for single brews and for some coffee specialties, you can brew 2 cups simultaneously. The spouts have adjustable heights for various cup sizes.

Capacity

The large capacities of the Jura Z8 and the Jura Z10 mean less refilling. The water tanks have an 81-ounce capacity, and the coffee bean containers hold 9.9 ounces.

Maintenance

You can make all of the expected drinks like cappuccinos, flat whites, and macchiatos. There is the choice to brew single and double ristrettos, espressos, coffee, lungo baristas, and café baristas. You can make a jug of coffee, use milk and milk foam portions and there is different hot water for different teas. In total, there are 21 options.

Jura Z10

With 32 specialties, the list is endless. As well as the Jura Z8 drinks, you can make extra shots of various drinks and cappuccino, macchiato, café latte, cortado, latte, and flat white cold brews, to name a few.

Programming

As if double-digit brewing options weren’t enough, you can then personalize the option you choose.

Jura Z8

You can choose one of the 10 coffee strengths. In terms of temperature, you can choose 3 temperatures for brewing, hot water, milk, and milk foam.

Jura Z10

This is the same but you can choose from 10 temperatures for your milk and milk foam.

Burr

The burr is responsible for grinding coffee beans into fine, uniform ground coffee.

Jura Z8

It comes with Jura’s conical Aroma G3 grinder.

Jura Z10

One of the significant upgrades is the Product Recognizing Grinder. The grinder will automatically adjust for a perfectly consistent grind.

Technology

The only technology listed in the manual is Pulse Extraction Process, a technology that forces hot water through the coffee for optimal extraction times.
