You know you like your coffee strong but apart from that, it’s still very hard to narrow down the immense choices in front of you. The Italians are pros when it comes to coffee and thanks to one coffee company, coffee innovation has come a long way. Before we look illy Forte vs Intenso, let’s find out how the company was founded.
illy was founded by Francesco Illy who was born in the Austria-Hungry Empire but moved to Italy during the First World War. After his time in the army, Illy started a cocoa and coffee business. The main focus soon became coffee when Illy invented the first automatic coffee machine in 1935. Illy also invented the system of pressurized coffee can packaging to maintain the oils and aromas of coffee. When Illy’s son took over, he continued and expanded on Illy’s research and innovation. The company even set up a coffee university. Illy’s grandson is the chairman of the company today.

There are also illy Forte coffee capsules for illy machines, Nespresso, and Keurig coffee makers.
